Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind supports people who have mental health problems and who are involved in the Criminal Justice System. This includes a Diversion and Resettlement service that offers practical support to people in police custody, in court, on release from prison and in the community with the aim of reducing re-offending and improving mental health and wellbeing. Mind also delivers a counselling service in local prisons. Other services offered by Mind include mentoring, advocacy, training, carer support, young person's support, outreach work, reablement services and psychological therapies.
