New Wave is a grassroots, community-based organisation led by people with lived experience, supporting young Black men who are at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system. As we grow, our aim is to extend our support across the wider Black community.
Through mentoring and community engagement, we work to challenge the factors that contribute to the school-to-prison pipeline, creating opportunities for open conversations about the systemic inequalities that disproportionately affect young Black men.
Drawing on lived experience, we also support people navigating life after prison, promoting positive role models, community empowerment and pathways away from offending.
