Reflections Yorkshire CIC is grassroots, community-driven organisation that supports some of the most vulnerable and marginalised individuals in our society, men who have experienced homelessness, addiction, trauma, and social exclusion. These are individuals often overlooked and caught in cycles of poverty, crime, and relapse, with limited access to ongoing support once initial treatment ends.
We work closely with Reflections Housing Association, which accommodates 56 men at a time, through a structured 12-step recovery programme. Reflections Yorkshire CIC was established to offer a vital continuation of support. Helping residents rebuild their lives after formal treatment, when the risk of relapse is highest. Without ongoing, education and training our residents will continue the cycle of using drugs and brining more chaos to the community.
Our approach is trauma-informed, and peer led. We offer peer mentoring, health and wellbeing programmes, and personalised pathways into life skills, volunteering, and education. This support is not just practical, it restores dignity, purpose, and a sense of belonging.
We work in partnership with local charities, housing providers, and recovery services to provide wraparound care. At the heart of our work is a belief in second chances. We believe that no one is beyond help, and that with the right support, even those who have lost everything can recover and become a meaningful member of society, holding down a job and managing a tenancy.
Left unsupported, this group places a high cost on public services through continued crime, medical care, and prison. But when given the tools to thrive, they can become role models, mentors, and valuable community members.
