How is the voluntary sector in criminal justice faring in 2019?
There’s still time for you, our women's network, to take this year’s State of the sector survey. Don’t miss this opportunity to make your voice heard and contribute to a vital source of evidence about the voluntary sector in criminal justice. The survey takes only 15 minutes.
Why it's so important
We regularly meet with key decision makers to try to ensure the voluntary sector’s role, knowledge and expertise is reflected in government policy and to maximise opportunities for the sector. For example, we have place on the government's Advisory Board for Female Offenders. Our State of the sector research is vital for us to do this effectively.
We want to hear from our women's network
We want to fully represent the experience of this sector, the challenges you're facing and your successes. Let's bring together and raise the collective voice of the women’s sector so we can influence change. This year we're aiming to present standalone evidence about the state of the women's sector.
Last year we had over 190 responses, 66% of which support women and 19% provide tailored services specifically for women. For us to speak up on your behalf and make sure our support is meeting your needs, we need up-to-date evidence on how you’re faring. That’s why we’re asking as many of you as possible to take our short survey.
How you can take part
If you’re from a voluntary sector organisation working with women in contact with the criminal justice system or their families, we want to hear from you so that we can raise the issues that matter most to you and your service users.
Complete our short survey to tell us about your organisation’s criminal justice work - the people you support, your services, staffing and volunteers, commissioning and referrals - for the 2018-2019 financial year.
Help us influence change for the better, respond by 5th July.
