Justice Involving Volunteers in Europe (JIVE)
A short survey - two weeks left to have your say
We believe that volunteers play a vital and necessary role within the Criminal Justice System (CJS) and contribute to the successful rehabilitation of ex-offenders, as well as providing much needed support to their families and victims of crime.
The JIVE project is currently undertaking a piece of Europe-wide research on the role and value of volunteers working within the CJS. Little research has been commissioned in this area until now and so by completing our survey you'll be helping us to understand more about how and why organisations use volunteers as a resource, and identify ways in which we can be even more effective and collaborative in our approach.
You'll be helping us to find out:
- How organisations engage with and select volunteers, and how they are trained and motivated
- How organisations structure the work carried out by volunteers
- How the state supports volunteers, and where lines are blurred between the voluntary sector and wider social service systems
Tell us about your unique experiences and transferable achievements; and help us begin a dialogue on best practice. Have your say before the survey closes on 12th September 2014...
