Decreasing resources and increasing demand for services: what's happening to you?
Clinks' State of the Sector survey
Open 15th July - 26th July
Take part in the Clinks survey
We are all facing considerable challenges in the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) working with offenders. The Clinks survey is your opportunity to let us know how the current economic climate, funding cuts and policy changes are affecting your organisation, the services you deliver, and the individuals you support.
Why are we doing it?
In order to lobby government on behalf of the Sector, Clinks needs to understand and have evidence of how the Sector is being affected. Clinks has used previous survey results to influence decision and policy-makers, and to lobby for more support to the Sector. It also informs our work by giving us a clear picture of your priority issues.
How do you take part?
If you're a VCS organisation working with offenders, ex-offenders, their families or victims of crime, please complete the online survey here by 1st February. We won't name organisations in the report, and you can complete the survey anonymously.
What will I need?
To complete this survey accurately, you'll need to provide recent information about your organisation's finances, staffing and strategy. Please ensure you have this information to hand. It can usually be found in your Annual Report or, if you're a registered charity, on the Charity Commission website.

What our last survey found
Our last report, published in Spring 2013, shows that organisations continue to do more with less. Two-thirds of you are not achieving full cost recovery on contracts; redunancies continue; more volunteers are being used; and more service users want to access your service. Read our blog, summarising the latest findings, here.
The full report is here or email Jean Coates for a hard copy.
The survey will close on Friday 26th July, so have your say today!
Take part in the Clinks survey
I do hope you can find time to complete our survey and ensure we capture this vital information.
Yours,
Clive Martin, Director
