Commissioning resources
Clinks aims to support voluntary sector organisations that wish to engage in the commissioning process by providing information and advice. We have a number of resources related to commissioning, such as:
Partnership Finder is our directory for organisations looking to join supply chains or to partner with other organisations, and is a great place to get yourself seen by commissioners. It's free to list your organisation and you can include details of what type of work you do and where, as well as information on contract history. Click here to use Partnership Finder
Change & Challenge: The voluntary sector’s role in Transforming Rehabilitation is our latest report looking at how the voluntary sector has engaged with Transforming Rehabilitation (TR). The report reveals that voluntary sector involvement is low, especially amongst smaller organisations, but also investigates how those organisations who have had services commissioned as part of supply chains are finding the new landscape. Police and Crime Commissioners have responsibility for setting policing budgets and determining priorities, so they are important for voluntary sector organisations to engage with. We recently published a guide to coincide with the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections with information on PCCs and tips on how to work with them. Click here to read the guide
More Than A Provider is a Clinks report looking at the role the voluntary sector can play in commissioning. The report gives examples of good practice, has key information on the tendering process and puts forward Clinks’ vision for good commissioning. Click here to read the report
Clinks also has a number of free tools on our dedicated commissioning page, such as ‘Take your temperature’, a tool for assessing your current strengths and weaknesses, and a ‘Finance for contracts readiness checker’, which can help you understand the financial competencies and structures required to be contract ready.
