Clinks and NAVCA, funded by the Ministry of Justice, are working together to enable innovative approaches to local partnership working in the Criminal Justice System (CJS) by providing eight small grants of £1,500. The focus of these grants is to bring together statutory sector agencies with providers from the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector and other stakeholders to jointly address local issues. We have a particular interest in activities that tackle inequality and/or discrimination in the CJS. Applications are open to umbrella organisations and service providers from the VCSE Sector in England and Wales.
Why get involved?
This opportunity from Clinks is aimed at supporting the VCSE Sector to think creatively, offering a small resource to incentivise activities that explore better ways to support local people in the CJS through partnership and collaboration.
In a rapidly changing environment it is more important than ever to think about new ways of working. Change is all around us;- changes to probation and offender management,
- new police and crime commissioners and the impact of their police and crime plans,
- the role Local Authorities are taking to tackle troubled families,
- pilots testing community budgets and the principles of Justice Reinvestment,
- changes in public health,
- and the introduction of payment by results in many new funding opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open to umbrella organisations and service providers from the VCSE Sector in England and Wales. We are particularly keen to support events that are run by, or targeted at, marginalised or minority groups within the Criminal Justice System - see the Grant Information document for more detail.Applications
