State of the Sector survey
Make your voice heard
This is a chance to tell your story and help us influence decision makers - responding to our State of the Sector survey is vitally important as it [[{"fid":"3078","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"Clinks State of the Sector survey","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"Clinks State of the Sector survey"},"type":"media","link_text":null,"attributes":{"alt":"Clinks State of the Sector survey","title":"Clinks State of the Sector survey","height":"438","width":"440","style":"width: 200px; height: 199px; float: right;","class":"media-element file-default"}}]]helps to develop our evidence base so we can advocate on your behalf. You'll be helping us to gauge the impact of policy changes on your organisation and the wellbeing of your service users. Your anonymised responses will make up a report which will be sent to key decision makers and influencers. If you're from a voluntary sector organisation supporting offenders and/or their families, please complete our State of the Sector survey here.
Challenges faced by the voluntary sector
In a new blog, Charlotte Weinberg, Executive Director of Clinks member Safe Ground, highlights the charity’s experiences, looks at the challenges they face as an organisation, and explores what impact this has had on their project participants. Charlotte also explains how Safe Ground has worked to address and overcome these challenges in recent years.

It is also taking time for reforms to the Criminal Justice System, for example new probation providers and new resettlement prisons, to settle in."
"Times are hard, have been very difficult over the last four years and in many ways, are probably going to get worse over the next four. Through involving our service users, and being creative and resilient, we are able to work together to find ways through the blocks in the system and to ensure our quality standards are maintained, and participants can achieve their goals."
How do Safe Ground’s experiences compare with your own? How is your organisation faring, and what impact is this having on the people you support? Tell us here.
How do I take part?
The survey takes less than 30 minutes to fill out. You'll need to have recent information about your organisation's finances, staffing and strategy to hand; this can usually be found in your annual report or, if you're a registered charity, on the Charity Commission website.
The deadline is fast approaching - the survey closes on Friday 17th July.
