London’s support for women in the Criminal Justice System
How would you support specialist women’s services in the Criminal Justice System?
The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime has opened a consultation on its Police and Crime Plan for London. Now is a good time for the voluntary sector working with women in criminal justice to come together to consider what 'good' looks like, so that we can contribute a clear vision and plan from the sector’s perspective.
Clinks is proposing to run an event for the women’s voluntary sector in London to develop our vision for the city. We want to run a half-day, facilitated event in London in order to explore the needs of women in criminal justice, and how these needs can best be met. If you would like to attend, please let us know your availability for an event on the 1st February. We are looking for voluntary sector organisations providing specific programmes for women in, or at risk of entering, the Criminal Justice System.
We’re hoping to keep the administration fees as low as possible and would appreciate the offer of a room or space in which to hold the meeting.
To register your interest please email helen.carter@clinks.org by the 27th January.
