2nd November, London, from £70
This is your last chance to book for Clinks’ annual conference. This year’s theme is resilience.
We need resilience more than ever. As a sector, in the face of huge change and uncertainty, both nationally and globally. As organisations, facing funding challenges along with increasing demand. And as individuals, trying to build resilience in our service users, and in ourselves, as we seek to support individuals and their families, often in distress and in increasing numbers. Clinks' conference will explore how we build resilience and support ourselves, our clients and each other.
Our exciting and wide-ranging programme includes:
- Our keynote speaker Dame Glenys Stacey, HM Inspector of Probation, talking about the challenges which the probation system is facing.
- Workshops exploring a range of issues including handling conflict; sustaining the women’s centred approach; keeping service user Trustees in the face of the Charities Act; bouncing back after funding cuts; working in a turbulent prison system; and emotional resilience for those working with offenders.
- Surgeries providing one-to-one support on legal issues, insurance and staff support.
- Panel discussion with Anawim’s Joy Doal; Clean Sheet’s Jane Gould Smith; Unlocking the potential’s Gethin Jones; and SOVA’s Sophie Wilson on “when resilience is tested”, what it taught them, and what might they have done differently.
There will be plenty of time to network with colleagues over lunch and exchange ideas with organisations and individuals in the sector.
