We want to hear from you about your experiences on how supporting women in contact with the criminal justice system to engage with their families can lower recidivism, aid rehabilitation and assist in addressing intergenerational crime. Clinks is a member of Lord Farmer's expert group and is leading the call for evidence for his independent review.
How to submit your evidence
We want to know what works and what doesn't in maintaining and building relationships between women in contact with the criminal justice system and their families and friends. You can submit your evidence here or email your answers to FarmerReview@clinks.org by Wednesday 7th November.
We want to know:
- What has research and evaluation shown helps women in prison or under probation supervision maintain and improve their family ties and other relationships with those who are important to them?
- What has research and evaluation shown helps women who are not in contact with their families or friends?
- What changes can be made to ensure women have the family and other relationships they need to help them on their desistance journey?
- Is there anything else you think is relevant to our Review from your own experience?
This Review follows Lord Farmer’s previous Review published in 2017, exploring how to support men in prison in England and Wales to engage with their families.
