Clinks has partnered with Russell Cooke solicitors to offer Clinks members free legal support to allow smaller, local voluntary sector organisations to access legal support which is often too expensive.
What we will provide
Clinks will cover the full cost of small quantities of legal support on specific issues. The support will be provided by Russell Cooke solicitors. This is a rolling programme which will be available until all the allocated funding has been spent.
The support covers a range of areas, including governance issues such as...
- Contracting
- collaboration agreements
- reviewing governing documents
- legal structures
- intellectual property
- data protection.
And also...
- HR and employment advice
- property advice.
To be eligible you must be a voluntary sector organisation, and a Clinks member, be carrying out work with people in the Criminal Justice System or their families, have an annual turnover of less than £3 million, commit to working with Russell Cooke solicitors, and provide feedback to Clinks on your experience.
Become a member
In order to take advantage of this offer you must be a Clinks member organisation. Membership starts at just £40 a year, or is free for volunteer-run organisations. There are many other benefits to membership, such as exclusive access to a funding database, monthly policy briefings and discounts on Clinks' training and events. How to apply
To access free legal support email clinksadvice@russell-cooke.co.uk or call 020 3826 7536. Your application will be assessed individually based on whether it fits into the eligibility criteria, whether our partners feel they can offer the requested support and an assessment of the urgency of the legal support requested.
