CLINKS NEWS: birthday videos
Get involved with our #Clinksat20 campaign in the lead up to our 20th birthday celebration at our AGM on 7th November. This is a moment to stop, look back and celebrate what we have achieved with you - our supporters, members and partners. To join in please film a short birthday message on your phone (20 seconds, holding the phone upright) introducing yourself; wishing Happy 20th Birthday to Clinks; and saying how Clinks has supported you or your organisation. Email it to clinksat20@clinks.org and we'll edit them into a short film to show at our AGM and post on social media. We'll tag you in any posts and hope that you will share. Look out for the campaign hashtag #Clinksat20
CLINKS BLOG: Clinks at 20
Anne Fox, Clinks CEO, has written a blog to launch our #Clinksat20 campaign. She says, "Our 20th birthday marks an opportunity to look back and acknowledge what has been achieved before moving purposefully forward with the launch of our strategy for 2019 – 2022. In the next two weeks, leading up to our 20th birthday celebration at the AGM, we will take the opportunity to reflect on our achievements in the sector during the past 20 years, with contributions from our members, partners and supporters. We hope that you will join in and celebrate #Clinksat20 because we wouldn’t be here without you." Read the blog here

CLINKS MEMBER'S NEWS: missed opportunities
Revolving Doors Agency celebrated its 25th birthday by publishing the report 1,800,000 Missed Opportunities, which shows the extent of the revolving door. New analysis by the charity has found that last year 60,000 cautions or convictions for minor offences were given to people who had offended 11 or more times. The data reveals that these individuals had a total of over 1.8 million previous sentencing occasions where the criminal justice system failed to provide an effective intervention when they were dealt with for similar minor offences, in order to prevent or to break the cycle of personal crisis and crime. The report sets out the charity’s ambition to prevent the next generation of young people entering this cycle. Read the report here (PDF)
