CLINKS EVENT: prison resettlement
'Alternative methods to prison resettlement' is a Clinks seminar [27th October, Birmingham, from £25] to explore what works in the American and Norwegian Criminal Justice Systems and how this can help inform the future of rehabilitation in the UK. The event will also look at the role of music in resettlement and crime prevention. We have invited Andy Laidlaw, Head of Reducing Re-offending at HMP Risley, and Sara Lee, Artistic Director of the Irene Taylor Trust, to share findings from their 2015 Churchill Travelling Fellowships. You will learn about effective alternative practice, and how it translates to the current prison reform agenda. Find out more and book here
CLINKS EVENT: analyse your impact
Clinks and Optimity are inviting staff from small to medium member organisations to a half-day workshop [9th November, London, free] where they can review a new online outcomes analysis tool designed to assess and evaluate the impact of voluntary sector organisations working in the Criminal Justice System. The 'Show our impact' tool calculates the impact and cost effectiveness of interventions based on information such as target population, costs of delivery, activities undertaken, and reoffending outcomes. By taking part, you will be providing important feedback for Optimity so they can refine the tool. If you are interested in attending the session, please register your interest before 30th September. For more information, and to register, click here
NATIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE ARTS ALLIANCE EVENT: arts, culture and innovation in criminal justice

The conference will see the launch of a new guide looking at how to commission arts projects in the Criminal Justice System in response to the Coates Review and Culture White Paper. The event will highlight the unique role of the arts in supporting rehabilitation. Find out more and book here
