'Lammy Review' consultation events
[1st June, Central London | 7th June, Manchester (in partnership with POPS)]
Join us at one of these half-day consultation events to feed your views into Clinks’ response to the government’s review of racial bias and Black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) representation in the Criminal Justice System - the 'Lammy Review'.
Clinks is running two consultation events with voluntary sector organisations working with those from BAME backgrounds in the Criminal Justice System to inform our response to the government’s review. Your feedback will ensure that the knowledge and expertise of the voluntary sector working with those from BAME backgrounds is reflected in the final report and recommendations.
The review was announced by David Cameron in January 2016 and is being led by David Lammy MP. The government's final report is expected to be published in spring 2017. You can find out more about the review and respond directly to the consultation questions here.
Clinks continues to work with the Young Review to improve outcomes for Black and Muslim young men in the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales. You can read the recommendations of the Young Review’s 2014 report here.
