HM Inspectorate of Prisons – Consultation events to help set new Expectations
17th January 2017, London
19th January 2017, Manchester
26th January 2017, Cardiff
If you were the Chief Inspector of Prisons, how would you assess the treatment and conditions of prisoners? This is your chance to speak with HM Inspectorate of Prisons (HMIP) to influence future inspection criteria.
In light of the changing prisons landscape, HMIP is carrying out a development project to review and update its inspection methodology and Expectations (the criteria used to inspect) for adult male prisons.
Clinks is holding three free consultation events with HMIP so that voluntary sector organisations can help to set Expectations which will be instrumental in encouraging positive outcomes for prisoners.
HM Chief Inspector of Prisons, Peter Clarke will attend London and Manchester, and HMIP Inspection Team Leader Cymru, Sean Sullivan will be at the Cardiff event.
