Clinks' Annual Conference - one week to go!
The role of voluntary organisations in criminal justice
2nd November, London, from £50
Clinks' highly anticipated Annual Conference takes place next week. This is your last chance to book! This year’s theme is 'What we do' focusing on the historic and future role of the voluntary sector in supporting people to change their lives, in reforming the system, making communities safer, improving conditions in prisons, probation services and our courts. The conference offers a chance to hear from key policy and decision makers, and to network with voluntary sector organisations, government officials, and funders. Clinks has invited senior leadership at the Ministry of Justice to provide the keynote address.
The conference will bring together the voluntary sector and other stakeholders to discuss the progressive work being carried out across England and Wales, but also the changes and challenges faced by the sector. We will celebrate what the sector is achieving and showcase some of its innovations, including workshops on:
• Collaboration in the voluntary sector
• Greater Manchester and the devolution of the justice sector
• Practical approaches to influencing policy
• How to involve service users and the impact they can have
• Working together to keep women out of prison.
We’ll have speakers from organisations such as Nacro, User Voice, Prison Reform Trust, Criminal Justice Alliance, Shannon Trust, Together and many more.
The event will be in central London close to our offices, 5 mins from Euston. It will be followed by our Annual General Meeting and will finish around 5.30pm.
