Service user involvement events
The people and families who have experience of the criminal justice system are a vital source of intelligence about how to improve services. How can you best involve people with lived experience of the criminal justice system in designing and delivering your services?
Clinks is running two events to inform and grow this aspect of the voluntary sector.
Introduction to service user involvement
29th March, Manchester, £25 members /£50 non-members
If you’re new to service user involvement, this specialist networking event will give you the chance to discuss the benefits and challenges of involving your service users and the opportunity to share your ideas. We’ll hear from voluntary organisations leading the way in best practice, and from experts by experience who are helping to shape the services they use. Find out more and book here
What makes a good peer support scheme?
20th March, London, £25 members /£50 non-members
In this networking event, we will discuss what makes a successful peer support scheme. We will consider the challenges: how to recruit, train and support peer supporters, and help people to move on from peer roles through the gate into paid employment. We will also include a discussion on a recently published review and best practice guidance on peer support schemes in prison. Find out more and book here
