Equality and diversity in service user involvement
12th July, Bristol, £25 - members only
How do we achieve diversity in and through service user involvement? Can participation help to address issues of equality and diversity?
Involving people with lived experience of the criminal justice system in designing, developing and delivering services is a vital way in which the voluntary sector supports people to change their lives. Yet achieving meaningful service user involvement can be hugely challenging. Ensuring that the full range of people you support are enabled to take part is even more so.
At this network event, in partnership with IF group, we will be exploring equality and diversity in service user involvement. We will focus on the following areas.
- Involving a diverse range of people with lived experience and ensuring we hear from many different voices
- Overcoming the barriers to engagement for different groups of people
- Ensuring that diversity in participation supports equality and diversity in your organisation.
Clinks’ service user involvement managers’ network will give you the chance to share your ideas, expertise and challenges with your peers in the voluntary sector. Whether you’re new to service user involvement or have lots of experience in supporting engagement and participation, join us to support, inspire and learn from one another.
