New Arts Alliance research report launches tonight at the Southbank Centre
Tonight, the Arts Alliance will launch their latest research report; Re-Imagining Futures: Exploring arts interventions and the process of desistance, at the Southbank Centre.
The report, written by academics from Northumbria University and Bath Spa University, paints a fascinating picture of the work that the arts are doing to support long sentence prisoners, women and those not engaged with mainstream learning. Highlighting examples of how the arts can support positive changes linked to personal agency, efficacy and identity, the research points to key recommendations for arts organisations working with offenders, government officials and commissioners.
