‘Leadership in uncertain times’

With Pauline Crowe OBE, Prisoners Abroad
Part of the Clinks ‘Leadership’ seminar series
When: Friday 10th May, 11-2pm (lunch included)
Where: Bristol
Who for: Senior managers and CEOs who want to hear how others lead in these challenging times, and share their own experiences.
The economic downturn and a fast moving policy agenda in the Criminal Justice System present a challenging environment for leaders in the Voluntary & Community Sector. This seminar provides an opportunity to explore this topic within a small, experienced group of peers. The session will explore the difference between leadership and management, and will include the following:
- How do you motivate yourself and your team when the goalposts keep moving?
- How do you hold the whole team, including trustees, together?
- How do you respond to challenges, and where do you find support?
This two hour session will begin with Pauline Crowe OBE, Chief Executive Officer of Prisoners Abroad, sharing her extensive 20 years experience of leading charities, and exploring these questions. Those attending will have the opportunity to engage with Pauline, and other participants.
The discussion will then be opened up to the group to share their experience and the issues they have faced. By restricting numbers, a Chatham House Rule approach and an informal atmosphere, our expert seminars encourage frank, open and confidential discussion of the issues that can have a profound effect on how leaders and their organisations operate.
Feedback from previous delegates include ‘It was great at making sure everyone was included and their issues addressed’ and ‘I found the seminar engaging, informative and stimulating’.
Cost: £40 for members/£60 for VCS non-members, £80 for other sectors*. (Each seminar is offered at highly subsidised rates and includes lunch)
*Please note an £80 cancellation fee will apply.
