TF038 – Housing Management Worker
Are you willing to work towards a level 2 in Relevant Homelessness, supported housing, or customer service qualification (NVQ, HNC) or at equivalent experience of working within a similar role?
Do you have experience of working within a Homeless Organisation, Supported Housing or local authority environment Housing department or a registered landlord? Do you have experience of, and commitment to, promoting and implementing equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion for vulnerable people?
Do you have experience of working respectfully with individuals offering advice, guidance and support on housing and appropriate tenancy related information? Do you have experience of Housing Management practice and knowledge of Housing legislation & welfare benefit legislation?

Changing Lives began in 1970, when four people set up Tyneside Cyrenians, offering food and shelter to people experiencing homelessness in the North East. Since then, services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.
Today our charity employs over 600 staff, has 400 volunteers and operates from Berwick to London giving people hope and aspiration that their lives can change. We listen carefully to the experiences of people with lived experience and 20% of staff at Changing Lives have previously used services.

About the job
The Housing Management Day role is essential to the upkeep and organisation of the 52 bedded accommodation service. The role is to ensure the health and safety requirements are to standard, and all regulations are being met. Ensure the up keep of kit and equipment is in order and replenished in a timely manner. To support the management team to maximise rental income and input rents into the rent system.
