Regulatory Assurance Manager
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Regulatory Assurance Manager to ensure Nacro meets the highest standards of compliance across key regulatory bodies, including the Regulator of Social Housing, Ofsted, CQC and the Housing Ombudsman.
In this vital role, you will analyse Nacro’s performance against regulatory requirements, prepare organisational assurance reports, support senior leaders in understanding compliance risks, and drive improvement action plans across services.
You will also support readiness for upcoming regulatory or legislative changes, ensuring we continue delivering safe, high-quality services to the people we support.
Contract Type: Full time, Permanent at 40 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid with National travel
Reports to: Head of Quality & Innovation
Direct Reports: 1 Direct Report
Key Responsibilities

Monitor regulatory and legislative requirements and assess Nacro’s performance against them.

Identify upcoming regulatory changes and support operational teams in preparedness.

Review policies, procedures and practice to ensure ongoing compliance.

Support Ofsted Registered Managers with continuous compliance.

Escalate risks and concerns to senior leaders.

Coordinate external audits and maintain sector best-practice knowledge.

Produce quarterly and annual assurance reports for trustees.

Lead regulatory self-assessment processes and compliance action plans.

Oversee annual Tenant Satisfaction Measures surveys and follow-up planning.

Manage the central complaints function in line with Housing Ombudsman expectations.

Build sector networks and support benchmarking activity.
About You
Knowledge & Experience:

Worked in a regulated environment, monitoring compliance.

Strong knowledge of the housing sector and regulatory expectations.

Confident delivering briefings or training.

Experience influencing senior leadership and managing multiple stakeholders.

Track record of driving improvements and managing change.
Skills & Competencies:

Able to analyse complex data and produce clear, actionable insights.

Strong project management and written communication skills.

Confident working independently and holding colleagues to account.
